I do this every time there is an update its probably not needed to do all of this I just done like messing around with stuff and I know that this will always work for me. before we do anything we need to make sure you have the correct file install location. First run the delete entitlements command then using Ccleaner or whatever you use to remove applications Uninstall Origin. restart computer. reinstall Origin. Quit Origin make sure its closed. Then run Fix Origin cmd then reopen origin again stay online open your game while game is open and your online Run the Add fake cmd follow the steps. MAC USERS if u have a mac download the ISO format only, it will only work with the iso one. once u had downloaded it click on the file then a folder will appear, then open a new finder window and search for The Sims 4 Packs. if u found it place the folder into the The Sims 4 Packs folder then do what STEP 1 says. run the fix orgin command. start orgin, go offline, start game. After some trying it worked for me. Go trough all of step one, then download the ISO files. Place the unpacked ISO folders in the packs folder and start the game as explained at the end of step one so, start origin, go offline, start the game through the sims 4 icon on the launchpad, try to go online in the game. I will be adding my mods to the game now, see if everything keeps working. Did you ever figure it out? I am having the same issue. Some packs say owned and others say download to use. omg this is the only comment that helped me.
except after i added the iso files to the sims 4 packs, i did step one again and then followed the rest of the instructions and it worked!! also fyi you have to click on the iso thingy and THEN it opens the iso folder, that is what you put in the game. It looks like you have more than 1 installation folder for the Sims 4, 1 you have updated via Origin and 1 you are leading the DLC unlocker to. So it works, it says I own every pack and that is true. The problem is that when I go to cas, every item has a ton of question marks. And when I try and play with a household, it says an error code and wants me to relaunch the game. I do relaunch but it says the same thing so my game is basically unplayable as of now.
Is there any way to fix this? Any help is appreciated please and thank you. The only correct way is to move not copy that folder to a different location on your computer. Then start your game again. I DID get it to work, including the wedding stories pack and all kits. I you have trouble getting some kits to work, and not the wedding stories pack, your DLC unlocker is outdated. You would need to download the newest DLC unlocker NOT v2 but V1 from the CS RIN forum. In order to download the unlocker, you need to make an account and log in, only then can you see the attached file and download it. It is not the top one that is V2 but you have to scroll a bit to the V1 version. because all the dlc are unlocked except the last ones. Only the last 6 Kits are not unlocked. When you run the existing updater and a new version is available you will be prompted to download that newer version. the rest of the packs work with unlocker in its current state though. I ran into similar issues as the people commenting. If you already downloaded the DLC unlocker, delete it and empty trash 2. Download DLC unlocker again. Follow Step 1 — make sure that in terminal you are clicking a random key to continue, as there are steps to follow below. For the second run you need to open origin, open the game, close it and quit origin. Then press a key to continue in the terminal at step 5. Enter the number 12 and hit enter. Then press a key again. Once you have downloaded the packs that you want I did separately, just a few at first , unzip the downloaded file and double click each one.
Then a folder will appear labeled EP03 etc. Next you want to put these in the content file of the app. Go to the search icon in the menu bar and search sims. Then go all the way to the bottom of the results and click open in finder. There you should see the sims 4 application directly the white circle with green diamond. Right click The Sims 4. This shows 1 folder: Content. Double click this folder. Now do step 5 of the DLC unlocker again. Close the other terminal and reopen it newly. To start the game after step 5, you have to start origin, go offline, and keep origin open WHILE offline.
